RE: Steemit Challenge S34W8 | Improving Steemit.com

Hi! I love your idea. You see, my little brother is thinking about studying computer science, and I told him to learn some basic concepts through the Steemit courses. But one of the questions he asked me was, “If I don’t understand something or make a mistake, how will they help me figure it out?” He was implying that he wouldn’t have that kind of help from a teacher, as he would in a face-to-face class, but with this idea you’re proposing, learning with Steemit would be much better.

“I could also leave a small mistake for them to find, with a hint they could check if they get stuck.”

I think that’s great!!! It would make learning more fun, and the fact that the author can see the student’s work is incredible. I hope this becomes a reality!!!!!

Thank you, @sammy1109. Your brother’s question gets right to the reason behind this idea. When someone gets stuck, being able to show the exact example they tried would give the author something concrete to work with. I’d want the hints to help him take the next step while leaving him room to discover the answer himself. Has he already tried creating a small webpage? Please pass on my encouragement to him. That curiosity is a lovely starting point. #s34engagement
