Keeping scorecard with my husband

These days me and hubby barely fight, we have become matured and we behave like a good couple. But we still keep each other's score, which is done very quietly and accurately.....haha.
We have a full scoreboard in our hand and most of the time I am winning because I play my female power trump card.

Marriage after 30 years really becomes funny, even if there is an issue you do not want to argue, fight feels irrelevant. Before I used to fight and also would cry, but now tears also do not flow...haha. Last evening I was having a conversation with hubby and he was annoying me, so I told him, I am going to introduce an annoyance tax on him. Every time he would annoy me, he will need to pay me 1 rial, which is equivalent to 250 Rs. and beyond 5 fines the price will increase. He was zapped, and then later on, he annoyed me and I kept putting the fine on him. He was so fed up of me by the end of it, he handed me his wallet and told me take how much ever you want and let me speak :-)

I feel that relationships evolve with time and when two people are staying with each other for a long time they just become so used to it and then all that unnecessary drama gets cut off, so with that the fights also reduce. The other way to look at it is, that you get so used to each other that anything we do and say has no impact. My scorecard always continues with him, though now the points are getting lesser and lesser to penalize him.

Love how you’ve turned everyday quirks into a playful game—does the “annoyance tax” ever run out of currency, or do you both secretly keep a secret stash for those big “extra‑annoyance” moments? 😄✨🚀
