The Life in 20s

in #life • 2 days ago

When I was in my 20s my confidence was of the level of Elon Musk, but the reality was that I had bank balance of a normal student...haha. At 22 I thought I would become the head of my department by 30s, but then when 30s arrived I was still mid-way somewhere. Life was so different then, everything seemed to be achievable, nothing seemed impossible, always up for challenges and show business was at peak.

It was a time of confidence and the same time vulnerability. I wasted so much money and time, trusted the wrong people, said yes when I should have said no and vice versa. So many mistakes and no realization. Everything was my way or high-way. But that's what life is all about learning and growing. As I grew older reality started hitting and sometimes it hit very hard. Some of those wrong people messed up my life, trusting wrong people landed me in trouble. There were ample of fake friends, who gradually disappeared when I learned to control myself.

This whole process and time were like a roller coaster ride. But still, I would not want it any other way. I did some wild things and I am glad I did it and experienced it all, because now I would not do those things. I stood up on the bar in a club in my 20s, I would not dare to do that now, but that fun and thrill I experienced in those days, the energy is unmatchable to what I am now.

I believe that our 20s is the time of not becoming successful, it is the time of becoming ourselves. Success comes later in life but the energy of this age once missed will never come back again. I feel that all that mess allowed me to think of who I actually want to become.

That line about having Elon Musk confidence with a student bank balance is too real. It is funny how invincible you feel back then even when nothing is going according to plan.

True, you feel you have the power to conquer the whole world
