A wet chick.
A wet chick.
Autumn is beautiful, resembling a yellow chick—a creature so cute that everyone admires it—provided, of course, that it hasn't soaked its yellow down.
For though a chick is small, it is a chicken in the making, and a wet chicken is a truly repulsive sight.
The only thing worse than a wet chicken is a wet parrot, though in these parts, only escaped parrots ever get caught in the rain.
A rainy autumn holds little appeal, too; as a rule, we see only half of it, while the other half remains hidden beneath the dome of an umbrella.
Even the shaggy spiders have no desire to look like wet chickens at this time of year, so they hide away somewhere under a blanket of fallen leaves.
