RE: Contest: Be Yourself

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE • 23 hours ago

If I have to be my nasty self, then let me not pretend to be perfect.

I'm actually a simple person tho. I enjoy good company, but I also love my own space..like very very much, and this always get me pissed when people think I'm sidelining them, not knowing at that moment i just want to be alone. Sometimes I can gist and laugh with people for hours, and within the next few minutes..i loose my spark immediately that I just want to disappear into my phone and be left alone.

And emmm, i would say, in a way...I'm not always disciplined either. I make plans, postpone them, scroll for longer than I should, eat, sleep and sometimes wonder where the whole day went. Just disappeared and haven't done anything good, then I'll start feeling bad that i wasted it.

Meanwhile, i love football, food, cooking, and lately I've been trying to take the gym more seriously because I want to build myself physically, especially before school resumes..i want to show my colleagues, I'm not here to play 😅

I overthink sometimes. Crazy thing tho but i do it a whole lot than people use to tell me stop thinking. I care about what people think of me more than I'd like to admit. I can be motivated today and completely lazy tomorrow.

But that's me.

I'm still learning, still making mistakes, still trying to become better without pretending I've already figured everything out.

So if be your nasty self means dropping the perfect image and just being honest, then here I am.

No packaging.

Just a young fellow

If I read you I wonder why bother, what is there to improve?
It sounds normal to me, that after being with people talking/joking for hours, space/room is needed to charge the energy and digest everything.
Some go fishing, others have to sleep, many who cannot escape use the phone to watch videos or gor gamimg, there are who start eating, painting, running or watch TV.

Like you, more people wonder what happened to the day, how it passed by so fast.
More interested I am why it is we should do anything. We are not ants, not bees, so why is it we believe we should be active and not the way we are?
Being surrounded by many already takes its toll.

Sounds like you have plenty of interests and plenty of time to pick up something (plate or spoon, so why the gym?).

You can also be yourself without the nasty!

And what are mistakes? Trying fitting in? Who decides what a mistake is?

Stopping overthinking is easier said than done, esp. by those who never think and left their brains home.

Lost your motivation next day? Then there is a reason for that. You figure it out, stay you.
