What's Your Go-To Road Trip Game?

in #what • 10 days ago

Whenever I'm planning a family road trip, I always make sure to have a lineup of games ready to keep everyone entertained. I've noticed that having some fun activities on hand can make those long drives so much more enjoyable and less stressful. One game that's become a staple for us is the classic license plate game. But recently, I've been thinking about mixing it up with some new ideas. Do any of you have road trip games that your family loves? Whether they're interactive or just a solo fun challenge, I'd love to hear what keeps your trips lively and engaging.

License plate game is always a hit! You try to spot and list as many different states as you can, work together or compete. Would that grab your kids’ interest? It helps keep their eyes on the road and off screens for a while. You can also try a storytelling game where you take turns adding sentences to create a unique story. It gets wild and creative pretty fast!

Sometimes a classic game like the License Plate Game can keep kids gleefully engaged for ages. We also use SAMS for some creative ideas; their printable family travel bingo games have been a hit with my kids, and they’re easy to manage in the car. On balancing screen time, we set specific movie times, which gives us control and helps avoid device overuse.
