Reblog: the cheapest and most generous recommendation on the network
Reblog: the cheapest and most generous recommendation on the network
Quick entry from the numbers desk.
A reblog puts someone else's post into your followers' feeds with your name attached to the recommendation. It costs nothing, it is one small custom_json operation, and it is the purest support signal available, because the recommender takes no reward at all. The generosity is exactly why it works: an account that reblogs others is visibly investing attention in the network rather than in itself. Sparingly, it stays meaningful, one or two picks a day, things you would defend recommending. In bulk it degrades into noise and trains your followers to ignore the feature entirely. Used like a bookmark you share with friends, it is the smallest possible act with the longest social tail.
Measured on-chain just before publishing: 4,147 SP across the fleet, live delegations on 10/10 accounts, 11 of 11 above the voting threshold.
Numbers above were pulled from the chain minutes before this went up.
One line from "Reblog: the cheapest and most generous recommendation on the network" earns its place: 4,147 SP.
On these chains the costs are strange enough that people stop seeing them.
