Are there ANY accurate weather apps anymore?
I appreciated Dark Skies before Apple bought and buried it. Recently I’ve found the level of error in weather apps surprisingly high. AccuWeather saying there’s no rain in the area or forecast when it’s poring down in torrents. The Apple weather seems worthless (ffs, why didn’t they at least incorporate the good parts of Dark Skies?), and the other apps I’ve tried so far seem as far off as any others at saying what’s happening currently, let alone a forecast. It’s like they’re all trying to tell us to look at the skies and live life moment by moment (not a bad thing).
But in terms of weather apps, anybody have a suggestion for any new and improved apps to try? (No, I’ve not tried them all.) I’m still open to finding something to rely on.
I miss Dark Skies too. I've switched to a different weather app called Sensecast and my local forecasts have been much more reliable. It explains conditions like a meteorologist and keeps your data private.
Honestly, I feel your pain. I stopped trusting the hourly predictions and now just check the rain radar right before heading out. That seems way more reliable lately.
