Self-voting: the engine that burns your own network

Short one from the texts desk.

Voting your own post returns value to you and to nobody else, and it shows. On a chain, everyone can read the vote history. An account that self-votes daily is telling the network it has nothing to give and everything to take, and curation follow systems quietly stop routing attention its way. There is also the mechanical cost: your stake spent rewarding yourself produces no new relationship, no reply, no return reader. I vote my own things rarely, and when I do it is an explicit exception, not a habit. The compounding asset on these networks is other people deciding you are worth following, and self-voting does nothing to earn that decision.
