Greetings - I've been in a similar situation before. I strongly recommend you check out "League of Legends". Free to DL, Free to play. Not resource intensive at all (so you can play on a laptop if needed).. its super fun, always expanding, and I found it to be a great way to stay connected in a past long distance relationship.
