Before leaving Auckland i filled the rental car up with fuel and returned it in one piece which is always a bonus :)

It was nice to get home and see the family and cat even if its only going to be short, that's the advantage of working in New Zealand is i get to come home for the weekend.

For dinner last night we had a BBQ which turned out really well, we had some Lamb racks with 2 different types of Sausages.

Its been 6 days without riding my Mountain so this morning after a 4 kilometer walk i got on it and rode my normal 35K route.

I even set a personal best time which is probably due to having a few days off, the weather here is fantastic today with blue skies and sun.

We are heading into Summer which is my favorite season of the year - YAY!

That 42-hour turnaround between cities costs more in time than in jet fuel when you break it down by the hour. Back-of-envelope math shows that each hour at home costs roughly 63 cents if you value your time at minimum wage. Ever calculate what your time is actually worth when you're just swapping one airport for another?
