RE: 📢📢📢 The New Steem Wallet Is Live — A Complete Rewrite
Hey @ety001, are you still planning to support Steem Keychain or is there some sort of replacement in the works?
I'm actually using WhaleVault which has a Steem Keychain polyfill (built by me from an early fork of Keychain), and the first thing I noticed tonight going to claim rewards was, WTF why's steemitwallet suddenly asking for keys?! 😱
Which is how I found my way to your update post... lol
The refactoring task is complex and heavy, so in the first phase, Steem Keychain is not within the scope of work.
Steem Keychain-related functionality will be added soon.
You can temporarily use Bitwarden or some other password tool to implement automatic private key filling.
Looking forward to it. In the meantime, I did one better and spun up a local copy of the old steemwallet for now. I'm even more paranoid than usual since my account on both Steem and Hive was somehow taken over earlier this month. Sadly lost the Hive account due to recovery still being @steem, but still very grateful for your help in recovering my Steem account! ❤️
