Steemit Challenge Season 34 - Week 3 : Question 1
In Nigeria we love and cherish guest from another country. We like making them enjoy our country so we like hosting guests to the best of our ability.
So imagine I received a mail that five members of the steemit team are visiting my town and they will like to have picnic with me, I would be so happy and I will make them enjoy their stay in my country so much that they will extend their stay. It will be an exciting moment for me
As the host, I will cherish the opportunity so much that I would want the hosting to be more than eating food, I would want them to explore our cultural heritage, visit places in my city and experience real tour in my city and get the best out of it.
Where would I hold the picnic?
I would like to use an open space, with more natural views that will help us enjoy natural breeze, more spacious and beautiful site views for photography. A location that will give more relaxation mood, secure and serene.
A place where there is much activities to be done to keep us busy and interactive, more comfortable and relaxed.
I would have loved to host them at Ibom hotel and golf resort where all these features I mentioned above can be seen and enjoyed but it is on temporary renovations now by the government. But there are other private places with same features which I will also love to host them.
I will take them to villa Hilton hotel

What would I serve?
Since none of the steemit team members are vegetarians, as a chef, I would prepare quality, nutritious varieties of nigerian dishes for them. We Nigerian we have different food depending on our region so I would like them to have a taste of my local food.

Which include;
- African jollof/fried rice with grilled chicken, peppered beef and coleslaw.
- Pounded yam with goat meat white soup
- Afang soup with fufu swallow
- Fisherman's soup
- Melon soup with fufu or garri swallow
- Goat meat pepper
- Fresh fish pepper soup
As a chef, I would be sure their food is served fresh and hot, enough protein and very delicious. So they eat with satisfaction and also enjoyed the meals.
I would also serve snacks and chill drinks especially homemade drinks so they will enjoy it more. I will make snacks like plantain chips, chin chin, meat pie, small chops and lot more.
Homemade drinks such as tigernut drink, watermelon drink, soya beans milk, orange juice, etc. I will produce them with only natural ingredients and served it chilled.
Who would I invite?
I would invite steemians who are close to my location to also join us physically. People who will appreciate the opportunity and honour the invitation, I will invite @dequeen @ninapenda @goodybest

We have a lot to talk about, we would share our steemit journey, our experiences, challenges, ideas/innovations, determination and motivations
Sharing this will encourage each one of us on the platform
My shopping list
Since we have just few persons so I will cook for a total of 10 persons in number, so the different meals I'm cooking will be in smaller portions but would be enough for everyone.
Therefore the quantity of my ingredients will depend on the number of people I will cook a particular meal for.
- Rice
- Chicken
- Beef
- Assorted meat
- eggies
- Afang leaves
- Yam
- Plantain
- Flour
- Sugar
- Milk
- Spices
- Palm Oil
- Vegetable oil
- Melon
- Fresh fish
- Snail
- Shrimp
- Crab
- Tigernut
- Watermelon
- Orange
- Soya beans
- Fufu
- Garri
For the shopping, I would visit our local market so I will be able to see all the ingredients I need for the cooking. In this market, everything on this my list is available, so I will buy everything here, take it home and cook it.
Most importantly, I would want all the members of the steemit team to have a good memory of my city not just food but in all areas so I will take them on a tour to visit all the interesting places for site seeing.
I will take them to visit other Ibom recreational centre such as Ibom palm resort which is yet to be open or commissioned this month. I will take them to visit different places for photography and site seeing to create more memories.
Thank you so much for going through my post

Reading your post, I get the impression that if Steemit members were to visit your city, you would spare no effort in your hospitality. Your hospitality would not be limited merely to food and dining; you would also aim to showcase your country's heritage and culture. You would put so much heart into hosting them that they might even wish to extend their stay a truly commendable attitude. You have planned to personally cook and serve them some of your country's popular dishes. I also really liked your plan to take them around to beautiful locations like the Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, as well as other sightseeing spots in the city. I hope that your invited guests @dequeen, @ninapenda, and @goodybest will certainly seize this wonderful opportunity and help turn your lovely plans into reality.

Yes sure, I will make them enjoy their stay to the full, thank you so much for encouraging
Reading your post, I get the impression that if the Steemit team visits your city, you won't just organize a picnic; you will strive to give them a comprehensive experience of Nigerian culture, heritage, cuisine, and natural beauty. The plan to serve such a variety of traditional dishes is truly wonderful. Dishes like Pounded Yam, Afang Soup, Fisherman's Soup, and grilled chicken, in particular, could offer them a novel and exciting culinary experience.
What I appreciate most is your intention to invite local Steemit friends alongside the guests, creating an opportunity for everyone to discuss their Steemit journeys, experiences, and future plans. A picnic in a beautiful setting, taking photos, and visiting local landmarks all of this combined promises to be a truly memorable event.

Thank you so much, I appreciate your comment, I appreciate the way you commend my efforts, I really wish it is real so I can execute my plans
Greetings, friend @eliany!
It is wonderful to see your enthusiasm regarding the Steemit team's upcoming visit to Nigeria. Your infectious good humor and joy have led you to find a fantastic venue to welcome your guests: none other than the spectacular Villa Hilton hotel, with its facilities and spaces perfectly suited for socializing and interaction. There, you could organize a picnic with the Steemit team and invite other local users to share knowledge with these important friends of the platform.
It is great to hear that you have a special culinary experience planned for them; since the Steemit team members are not vegetarians, they will be able to fully enjoy the dishes you offer, such as: African fried rice (Jollof) with grilled chicken, spicy beef, and coleslaw;
white yam soup with goat meat;
Afang soup with fufu, among others.
I enjoyed reading your inspiring post, and I hope your guests thoroughly enjoy the welcome you have prepared for them.
Best of luck!

Exactly my concern and wishes right now, I wish it's real and we will carry out our plans. Meanwhile, thank you for the compliment and commendation, I appreciate
Holaaa!
Saludos!!
