To play or not to play...

FIRST, A CLARIFICATION: For personal reasons, I had decided "NOT TO PLAY" the games that have been proliferating on the Steemit platform. I explained my stance in a post; if you’d like to read it, you can follow this link: My town is no longer my town

Well, today I started playing a game that I’m actually finding quite interesting, based on what I’ve discovered about it so far. My first reason for doing so is to show my appreciation for @alexmove, one of the Steemians who supported me when I first joined the Steemit platform.

The second reason (and perhaps the more significant one) is financial: the game’s creator is offering 20 Steem to anyone who follows a few simple rules. Source: 🌱 Rise Fig — Simple New Contest: 20 STEEM for a Post About the Game

Screenshot - 29_10_2026 , 18_47_04.png1- Play the game on one of the available platforms: either the website or the Telegram app.
2- After playing, write a post on Steemit using the tag #risefig, share your honest impressions of the game, and include a screenshot.
3- You may create up to two posts per week about the game.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS of RISE FIG

I played via the website. Due to security concerns, I prefer not to use Telegram applications. This brings up an initial question: how do you ensure the safety of the participants?

It might sound like a cliché, but despite how complicated it seems at first, the game is actually quite engaging. Honestly, I enjoyed it. The learning curve will be somewhat slow, given the number of steps and details you need to be familiar with. Let me warn you right now: TAKE CARE OF YOUR WATER; it is a crucial resource.

To play or not to play...

RISE FIG is based on a botanical metaphor: the growth and development of plants from seeds, eventually leading to the creation of a field of plants.

Screenshot - 29_10_2026 , 18_48_40.pngIn the web version, the first thing you’re asked to do is play a round of Mahjong (a plus for the game, in my book—I love Mahjong!).Screenshot - 29_10_2026 , 18_44_31.pngThe points you earn in Mahjong are converted into CHLOROPHYLL, which serves as your pool of resources (or "wallet" of inputs). To begin, you’re given at least one seed.
Screenshot - 29_10_2026 , 19_09_08.pngYou have to give the seeds time to grow.Screenshot - 29_10_2026 , 19_31_10.pngYour progress is tracked by levels. Your progress is tracked by levels. At one point, I even reached fifth place!

MY OPINION

  • 🌱 I found the game both fun and stressful—likely because I’m still unfamiliar with how it works.

  • 🌱 The interface is actually quite simple, though it might not seem so at first; the web version, at least, provides guidance as you start. There are pop-up windows to help orient you, but they’re in English and sometimes disappear rather quickly.

  • 🌱 It’s clear that the creator has truly ambitious growth plans for the game. I only managed to grow three seeds so far, and I haven’t been able to crossbreed them yet.

  • 🌱 There are also different modes to the game; for instance, it seems you can collaborate with others by donating plants. On the other hand, there’s mention of a "battlefield"—what exactly will be facing off against each other: the plants themselves, or the mutations you’ve created?

  • On the other hand, It also appears to be a card-based war game, while simultaneously being a game about building crop fields. Is it all of that?

  • 🌱 I know I’ll play it again, but I don’t think I’ll stick with it for the long haul; it’s highly addictive, and I don’t want to spend a huge chunk of my day playing it. That said, I’m happy to help with Spanish translations—for example, for an FAQ section.

  • 🌱 I’ll write another post soon, once I’ve had more time to settle in and get a better, calmer perspective on the game.

  • 🌱 As I understand it, the game can’t be linked to a Steemit account yet, so it assigns you a "guest" user profile instead—is that right?

Congratulations

I’ll wrap up by congratulating @alexmove for presenting us with a game that has such a broad, long-term vision. I truly hope you succeed in building a community and finding collaborators for this ambitious project!

Thank you! I’ve sent 20 STEEM. I read your post with great interest.

This brings up an initial question: how do you ensure the safety of the participants?

Regarding security—it’s an important topic, which is why I provided three different options; some people prefer not to install apps from Google Play, while others, conversely, avoid using Telegram.

As of now, I believe the security is in good shape, though I will continue to monitor it.

As I understand it, the game can’t be linked to a Steemit account yet, so it assigns you a "guest" user profile instead—is that right?

Yes, for the time being, your progress on the site should be saved, even without creating an account. This is also something on my to-do list for further refinement.

It will need to be verified—when you visit again, will your progress still be there, or will you have to start over?

It might sound like a cliché, but despite how complicated it seems at first, the game is actually quite engaging. Honestly, I enjoyed it.

That’s great to hear. It’s important to me to create a game that is engaging—and, ideally, useful as well.

Thanks, and I look forward to your future posts!
