Bridges Know Something People Often Forget

in #photography • 5 days ago

Most people think a bridge exists only to connect two sides.

That is true.

But only partly.

Because every bridge tells a much deeper story.

The story of connection.

Standing on this footbridge, I immediately noticed the perspective.

Every line led toward a single point on the horizon.

It reminded me of life itself.

Every day we build bridges.

Between dreams and reality.

Between the past and the future.

Between people who were once strangers.

Some bridges are strong.

Some tremble in the wind.

But every bridge begins with the decision to take the first step.

The second image caught my attention for a different reason.

A simple metal link.

Rusty.

Ordinary.

Easy to overlook.

Yet without parts like this, the entire structure would fail.

People admire the bridge.

Very few notice the elements holding everything together.

Life works the same way.

Trust.

Loyalty.

Consistency.

Dedication.

These invisible connections support everything we build.

The most fascinating perspective came from underneath.

Most people walk across bridges.

Few stop to look below them.

Yet that is where the true strength resides.

The pillars.

The arches.

The support structures.

The hidden framework.

Just like in life, we often see results but rarely the foundations that made them possible.

Perhaps that is why I enjoy photographing bridges.

They are not merely structures.

They are symbols.

A reminder that what truly matters is not the beginning or the destination.

It is the connection between them.
