A day in the life : Day 679

I was reading about the growing use of AI in education today, and I found the direction quite interesting. Instead of simply giving students answers, newer tools are being designed to explain ideas, create practice questions and adjust the difficulty based on how someone is learning. That seems much more useful than treating AI as just a faster search box.

My own learning session today was interrupted by something very ordinary.

I sat down with a book and a notebook, ready to spend some quiet time reading. After a few pages I noticed that the pen had stopped working. I tried scribbling on another page, shook it a few times and eventually gave up.

Then I remembered I had another pen in the next room.

I went to get it, came back and somehow spent another ten minutes looking for the page where I had written my notes.

It was under the book.

At that point I decided the universe was telling me to stop being so organised.

The weather has been fairly comfortable in the evening. The afternoons are still warm, but there is less of the heavy rainy-season feeling now. Food has also become simpler lately. I had a light dinner and did not feel like eating anything extra afterward.

Later, I watched a few videos about how people are using AI to learn new subjects. I like the idea of asking the same question in different ways until something finally makes sense. A good explanation can sometimes save a lot of frustration.

The rest of the night was calm. I finished my reading, found my notes and put the working pen back where I could actually find it tomorrow.

Nothing major happened today, but I learned something useful.

Keep a spare pen nearby.

Apparently this is advanced productivity now.
