A day in the life : Day 674
I noticed something interesting today while reading about the latest AI developments. A lot of attention is moving toward AI that can handle longer tasks without needing someone to guide every individual step. Instead of asking a question, getting an answer and starting again, people are experimenting with systems that can plan, search, check information and continue working.
I can see the appeal, although I still think simple tasks are where this technology will prove itself first.
My own planning was not particularly impressive today. I had a few errands to finish and decided to combine them into one trip. The plan looked efficient on paper. Then I remembered that one shop opens later in the day.
So the whole plan had to be rearranged.
I ended up doing the other errands first, came back home for a while and went out again later. It was slightly inconvenient, but at least everything got done.
The weather has been quite pleasant in the evenings lately. The afternoons are still warm, but there is less of that heavy monsoon feeling in the air. I have also been drinking more water during the day and keeping dinner fairly simple.
In the evening I spent some time cleaning up my email inbox. There were hundreds of old messages that I had never bothered to delete. Most were completely irrelevant now. I removed a lot of them and kept only the things that might actually matter.
It is strange how digital clutter can accumulate without being visible.
The day ended quietly. No major problems, no big surprises, just a few small adjustments to plans.
I think that is probably a useful reminder. A plan does not have to survive exactly as written to be useful.
Sometimes you just change it and keep going.
