There’s a reason most goal-setting advice doesn’t work.

We're told to dream big. Visualize the mansion, the exotic car, the seven-figure bank account. And yes — that kind of dream building has value. It stretches your imagination. It expands what you believe is possible.

But here's what nobody tells you: your actual target can't live in fantasyland.

The goal you work toward every day needs to sit in what I call the sweet spot. Big enough that it genuinely excites you and gets your energy moving. But small enough that when you think about it, you honestly believe: "I can do that."

Not "maybe someday." Not "if I get lucky." But a real, visceral sense of attainability.

When you set a target in that sweet spot, something shifts. You stop waiting for permission. You stop looking for the perfect plan. The universe starts presenting you with the how — the steps, the people, the opportunities you need to make it real.

Dream big to expand your mind. But aim for the sweet spot to actually move.

What's one goal you've been setting too big to believe — or too small to care about?
