The challenge started in 2009 before the proliferation of artificial intelligence. I realized that AI was creating a monumental challenge for graphic artists. For the last several years I've generated inktober images on Night Cafe. These images are better than anything that I could produce.
I posted many of the images here on SteemIt, but I felt that dropping an image a day was too spammy for my taste. This year I intend to generate an image a day. I will post the ai-images in groups. I wanted to do it at the end of the week, but I also want to have a post on the first of the month.
So, for this post, I decided to generate images for the first three prompts. I generated an image of a pumpkin eating an apple for the first prompt.
I decided to draw low quality images which I will put on the idoodle account. The first image is just an outline of an apple.
The AI image is more compelling.
The second prompt is "relic"; So, I decided to generate an AI image of a robot hand in a reliquary:
I intend to draw a reliquary tomorrow. I will then make a collage with Pepe the Frog stuffed in the reliquary.
For the third prompt "miniature" I decided to generate the image of a miniature Buddha at the feet of a reclining Buddha.
Anyway, I will be upvoting any post that creates an image for #inktober. My upvote is worth only $0.017 cents ... but inktober images often score other upvotes.
Let me know what you think about the generated images. I will try drawing a low quality image for all of the prompts. Since I don't like posting duplicate content on different platforms, my idea is to put the low quality drawings on HIVE and the high quality ai images on steemit. I think a post every three days would be in order.
