Cardiff, Wales
Hello my dear Steemians,
While looking through my photos from Wales, where we lived for 2 years, we understandably visited many places and could not miss the capital of Wales, that is Cardiff. There are many well know series being done there, there are many historical places and museum. The centre of Cardiff is very modern, there are buildings made of glass and metal, there are many cafes at the water side. The pier is one of the popular location for both young people but also for elderly. We were there during day time, now I regret that we did not visit it during evening time. I think with night lights and their reflection in water that probably looked very well.
I didn't even realize Cardiff was the capital of Wales. Thanks for pointing that out. Cardiff is an interesting city because of the contrast between its history and modern architecture. From what I know, Cardiff was best known for being one of the world's most important coal export ports, especially between the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century.
Yes, I think not many think that every land of big UK has their own capitals and governments. It is an interesting city with modern capital with a lot of tourists, they have their BBC and proud of “Doctor Who” :)
