ESTATE TORRIDA 🇮🇹🇬🇧
🇮🇹

The scorching summer we've endured should be taken as a warning for the future.
It's only going to get worse.
It's not just me saying this, it's the meteorologists. This is partly due to global warming, but also to how humans are treating the planet itself, and also to the fact that climate variations have always existed throughout history.
This situation, however, must be monitored very carefully. If the planet were governed by wise souls, perhaps something could be done to try to calm the situation. Unfortunately, for years now, every idiot around has become president or prime minister of a country.
It's up to local administrators to find solutions. 40-degree temperatures may no longer be an exception but become the norm.
Cities should be repopulated with trees or at least made greener. Concrete provides warmth, nature refreshes.
Then we need to find an alternative to air conditioning because bills will become unmanageable and consumption will skyrocket. It's not a given that the country, not just families, will be able to afford it.
We all need to get used to these climates, change our lifestyle, work, and sports habits.
Move, work, exercise, go to school during the coolest hours, and try to protect ourselves during the hottest hours, especially the elderly who already have other health problems.
The death toll of the elderly during this summer's scorching heat is plain for all to see.
The mountains can become a sort of refuge from the heat, but they can't be overrun by the rowdy mass tourism we've seen this summer.
Staying on the beach could become complicated; it's no coincidence that already this summer, many people, having umbrellas and lounge chairs included in the price, opted for the pools, believing them to be cooler.
We all need to get used to changing our lifestyle habits. Those in positions of power must take action to try to make a situation that is creating discomfort for the population manageable.
