Steemit Challenge Season 34 W8|| Question 2 : Improving Steemit.com
What one new feature would you like to see added to http://steemit.com?
Honestly I have less technical knowledge about blockchain working and developing, so maybe my idea may have some technical issues to start but I would still like to suggest a "Save / Bookmark" feature for http://steemit.com and I feel this will be a very useful feature.
Describe in detail how the new feature would work?
This feature will work like Facebook or Instagram saved posts. When you see any good post, you can click on a Save button near the upvote button. That post will then go to your personal saved list which you can see from your profile menu. You can also create folders like Travel, Cooking, Photography and save posts in different folders. And you can read them later at anytime even if you are offline, and you can also unsave if you want.
Who would be able to make this new feature?
Only the Steemit development team can make this feature because they control the website code and blockchain. Community developers can give ideas but final implementation has to be done by the official Steemit team.
Would many people use it?
Yes, I think almost everyone will use it. Right now we see many good posts but we forget them later. If there is a save option, people will definitely save useful posts like recipes, travel guides, tutorials to read again. So it will be very popular.
Would the new feature be likely to bring any new people to the platform? Or is it more just to improve the experience of existing users?
I think this feature will mostly improve the experience of existing users. It will make Steemit more user-friendly like other social media. But it can also help to bring new people because when new users join, they will feel that Steemit is also modern and easy to use like other platforms, not just a blogging site.
That's all from my side. If I were a developer, I would illustrate more about how this feature could be added to Steemit, but one thing I can surely say is that it will be a very useful feature.
At the end I would like to invite @roohiasif99, @max-pro and @mamun123456
Best regards

Good afternoon @suboohi ma'am.
You have suggested a very useful and practical feature for the STEEMIT. Really we often find good posts that we want to read again later. But with the passage of time it becomes difficult to find those posts. If the Save / Bookmark option is introduced on steemit and users can save their favorite posts in different folders. It will not only save time but also make the platform more convenient and user friendly. The facility of saving recipes tutorials travelogues and informative writings in particular can be very useful. You have also described the benefits of this feature and the possibilities of attracting new users. It is hoped that in the future. Such facilities will be introduced on steemot which will further improve the customer experience. Best wishes for your excellent suggestion and beautiful participation.

Hi, @suboohi! 😊
You have proposed a very interesting feature for enhancing the Steemit platform. I think that the Save or Bookmark button will definitely allow us to keep track of the important posts and refer back to them anytime we want. Sometimes, we discover amazing tutorials, recipes, and informative articles, and then we find it hard to locate them at a later stage.
What I like about your proposal is the concept of creating folders for saving different posts. I am sure this feature will save us time and make our experience on Steemit much better. Thanks a lot for your great suggestion. I hope that the Steemit team will give due consideration to it in the future. ❤️

I appreciate your support ma @suboohi
Greetings, friend @suboohi
A few days ago, I was looking for my 2018 introduction post and had quite a hard time finding it; it wasn't easy to locate. Reading your proposal for a new feature on the Steemit platform put a smile on my face. If a "Save and Bookmark" feature had existed back then, I think I could have simply used the "save" button to find the information I needed at the time. I find the functionality you are proposing for Steemit—specifically the feature you mentioned to be extraordinary. As you rightly pointed out, it would greatly help users manage their content; we could save useful posts to consult later, which would be very beneficial for our workflow. Of course, this would help current users, and as new users join, they too would see the updates the platform has undergone.
I hope your proposal gets the green light from the Steemit team and can be implemented at some point.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment @elpastor !
Yes you are right, finding an old post on Steemit is really difficult, especially from 2018. I also faced the same issue many times. That's why I thought a Save/Bookmark feature would be very helpful for all of us.
I'm really happy that you liked my idea. Thank you again for your support and kind words.
