Ironic economy 2

👾 Hello Steemitverse 👾

Once again with another ironic economy practiced in my country. Although this one makes a bit more sense than the previous one, it is still hilarious when compared to others.

In today's particular case, I will talk about PayPal - Uphold - Skrill - Amazon. These in my country (Venezuela) are paid at the exchange rate in Bs between 30 to 60 points below the "average" rate that is being driving, just like cash.It makes sense if we put on the table the fact that each one is managed by itself and does not allow sharing with another modality. I only know the fact that to go from PayPal to Zelle , you need an American account. Therefore, therefore, many Venezuelans are left with the annoyance of selling dollars at a price well below what is had in mind.

But what happens when we put this in the context of "Money is Money"? Aren't dollars supposed to be worth the same no matter what platform they're on? I say this because I use Binance Exchange, there the dollars are worth the same no matter what currency they are in, the same if I have my money (in cryptocurrencies) in any other wallet (seeing PayPal - Uphold - Skrill - Amazon as a wallet in a certain way). Before you tell me that they are not a wallet for whatever reason, I will leave you here this:

A small object used to store and carry bills, identification cards, ID cards, debit cards, credit cards, business cards and other items such as stubs, tickets, pocket calendars, etc. is called a wallet, wallet or purse. Definition of Wallet.

Then again we enter a predicament in which the value of an asset is undervalued for the simple fact of (excuses). If it is true that each one has different policies, commissions, among others. But that works like that in all banks / exchanges. Even, I dare say that few companies do not charge any commission for transactions, for example Steemit Wallet.

How to change this? Well, plain and simple that making your money worth it. Giving valid arguments not to feel less or cheated. It is sad that you work so hard so that when you do some currency exchange they pay you less.

This also happens when people are conformist and do not even value what they do. Take a look at this:

If I have $ 5 in PayPal and I sell it for 30 points less than the "average", that person who bought it from me will tell someone else "I bought $ 5 PayPal cheap". To which that rate will be watered, making it become the value of PayPal in the streets. Whereas if it were the other way around, there would be a fairer market for those who work and want to exchange their money and for those who buy them.

Ironic economy

Again, sorry if my thoughts are vague or lacking in arguments / information. It is an opinion that I wanted to share here.

Thanks for reading, happy start to the week everyone!

Hello @jacorv
Yes, I understand about the price differences of the dollar in Venezuela, it's absurd, totally.
But it's what works for many mafias, that's a big deal really.
Because those who have the possibility of having accounts abroad can take advantage of that price difference. I know.

Sure, but at least I and those close to me have tried to buy and sell at the right price. I have (in theory) an account outside and yet I have always had in my mind the value of the dollar as it should be.

I think that I act badly with someone who needs to sell at a certain price for some need, because karma will work against me.

I'm sure the percentage of people who act like me is negligible compared to what you mention.

Thank you for reading! 😃😉 Regards @Josevas217
