Alekdia Sea Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches located on the coast of Chittagong. Recently, this beach has received extensive coverage on social media, resulting in a huge increase in tourist footfall compared to before. Although I had not been here before, I fell in love with its beauty on my very first visit.

It is located in Alekdia village, on the west side of Kumira Union in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong. Every beach along this coast has been named after its respective local area so that tourists can easily recognize them, as there are many beach areas nearby.

Parts of the old shipyard can still be seen.

Countless people visit from far and wide to enjoy the beauty of the beach. For those who want to come from the direction of the town, the easiest way is to get off at the highway, board one of the available auto-CNGs, and head straight to the main spot; this way, you will face no difficulty finding the road.

First, let me share a bit of history about this beach with you. Once upon a time, there was a ship-breaking yard here. Formerly, when the ship-breaking yard was active, people could not visit the beach area directly because the area was kept restricted.

A layer of blackish debris in the beach's intertidal zone.

As far as I have learned, no more ship-breaking was carried out here after the yard owner went bankrupt. Without knowing the history, no one would realize that an industry once existed in this place; looking at it now, it feels as if nature has returned to its true form.

The tidal flat on the beach is very wide. Lush green trees and foliage can be seen just above the flat area. Nestled among these trees are small, shallow pools of water. Many say that ocean fish can be found in these pools because high tide water often reaches this far. These shallow pools were formed directly by the high tide waters.

I really liked this part. I sat on the green grass behind the trees, where a few large trees stood ahead, making the surrounding area shaded and pleasant. The surrounding environment was so calm and beautiful that it could lift anyone's mood.

Since it was not a day off when I visited, the tourist turnout was light. With fewer people, the surroundings felt completely quiet and quite lovely. As I walked closer to the beach, a gentle breeze brushed against my skin—a feeling that cannot be replaced by anything else.

The closer I got to the beach, the clearer the sound of the ocean waves echoed in my ears. The sound of these waves is one of the main reasons I visit the beach again and again; I find it deeply enchanting. Below, I am attaching a video where you can enjoy the sound of the waves.

Video Moment.

Upon going towards the north side of the beach, I saw black sand in the tidal flat area. At first, I thought it might be natural, but up close, I realized these were remnants of the former industry. Walking barefoot here is very risky because the stones are quite sharp and jagged.

Recently, a group of young men in Alekdia took the initiative to preserve the beauty of the beach and become entrepreneurs by launching camping packages there. The spot designated for camping has been nicely set up, and work has been done to clean up the beach area.

Special spot for camping.

Those who wish to camp here at night can directly come to the beach, contact the camping group, and avail of their packages. Honestly, I have a strong desire to camp here at night with friends someday and have a barbecue party with everyone.

The biggest reason for me to visit any beach is the sunset. I love sunsets the most, and at Alekdia, I enjoyed the sunset beautifully. In the tidal flat area, there were many large square-shaped stones; these were placed primarily for the embankment.

That beautiful moment while watching the sunset.

Standing on those stones, I enjoyed the sea water and the sunset from up close. I noticed one thing: as the ocean waves crashed against the embankment stones and the water splashed toward me, the view was so wonderful that words cannot describe it.

Alekdia Sea Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. For those who love spending time at the beach, this area can be one of the best choices. Whether with family, loved ones, or camping with friends, come visit this sea beach without delay!

Saludos amigo.
