Hi Kitty! The age-old topic… I really do enjoy leaving comments myself (in epic detail ;-)), when a post strikes a chord with me. But not just out of politeness. If there’s something to say, ask, point out or add: hello world! Just to say, ‘I’ve read it and thought it was good’ – no. My vote is enough for that.
Of course, I’m also pleased when readers give me feedback (that goes beyond a ‘Haha!’ or ‘Wow!’ or ‘Thanks!’...)
Applying these standards to someone else is problematic. On a platform like this, it must be acceptable for someone to ‘just’ blog and not read others’ posts themselves. There must be room for authors who publish something short every day and those who post rarely but with depth and insight. It must be possible for pure readers/voters to stand to gain financially just as much when they support the Steemians here whom they value. Part of diversity is that different values can meet and coexist side by side.
And every individual is then equally free in how they vote and comment. Because on a decentralised platform, it must be beyond evaluation! As soon as we move into a centralised sphere (community), the conditions set out there apply...
There is no room for short posts no matter how creative they are, nor for commenters. That is made clear, month after month.
And indeed the same topic only just this time it concerns what I am doing or better not should invest time in.

I probably can’t give you any advice. However, I get the impression that you enjoy what you’re doing. If it’s more of a chore, don’t bother. If it brings you joy, carry on! Nobody can hold it against you if you need a break from all that joy ;-))
