RE: POLL: Will You Edit Your Post Following The Advice To Improve IT?
This is what I did: I jot down the competition rules on a bit of paper; basically, I just write whatever I want, then I add the hashtags and the title. I always edit my posts. I can’t see why I wouldn’t. What I’m not likely to do is write a whole post just to say ‘oops’ simply because I’ve posted something in the wrong community. I don’t like empty posts that just say ‘error’.
If you don’t note down what’s wrong or needs correcting, you won’t think of it next time either.
Bear in mind that from September onwards, the curators will be pointing out mistakes and what needs improving; they’ll also be giving more personal comments and keeping the conversations going – all comments then stand a chance of getting more and higher votes. So just be a bit alert – it’s not rocket science – and it takes the least effort if you make a habit of it; then you don’t have to think about everything and rack your brains. Given that most people tend to write the same sort of post anyway, it’s not difficult to work out which hashtags to use. You can write these at the bottom of your text, and they’ll then appear automatically in the hashtag field after posting. So you can simply leave this field blank – that means fill in the title, write your text with images below, add your hashtags (don’t forget the # before the word) and post.
Thank you very much 🤝🏾
