RE: Chapter 23: The 50-Year Echo

The good news is that I’m not going anywhere, so I’ll keep reading your work, and actually, it doesn’t really matter if it’s a bit complex here and there. At any rate, it makes sure you keep reading and go back to re-read parts. There’s nothing more annoying than a book you’ve read and perhaps seem to have forgotten, and as soon as you read a few lines again, you realise, ‘Oh, that’s what that’s about – never mind.’

So: first the book – or rather, first the comic, then the book, then the film and the game – or first the game, then the film adaptation. I’ve already thought it all through for you.

Sort:

That is absolutely the best news I've heard all day, Kitty! Knowing that you'll be here reading along gives me so much motivation to keep writing. You make a brilliant point about the complexity—I definitely want 'Hell's Eye' to be the kind of story that rewards readers for going back and finding all the hidden puzzle pieces.

As for that franchise roadmap... I absolutely love it! You’ve basically mapped out the entire cinematic universe. I hereby officially appoint you as the Executive Producer and Lead Strategist for the 'Hell's Eye' franchise! 🎬🎮 Keep an eye out, because Chapter 25 is almost ready, and things in that archive are about to get even crazier.

It’s going to get even crazier? That’s hardly possible, is it? Hahaha.

I don’t think I’ll manage to illustrate everything myself; in any case, we’ll have to find someone who’s good at drawing and then start on your comic. Or do you happen to be a good artist yourself? You never know – most artists are all-rounders anyway. You’re already working on the book yourself, and it’s not a bad idea to include a bit of a puzzle for the reader – several authors have made a name for themselves that way. Books where the puzzle pieces are hidden and you have to go back through the pages or simply have all the instalments or volumes to find the solution. This is also a great way to exercise the brain, something most people could do with.

Perhaps for those with a bit less developed brainpower, or those unfamiliar with technical and IT knowledge beyond simply switching on a computer, you might need to include an explanatory glossary.

Oh well, and if I’m not here, you know where to find me and you can always leave a link. I’m going to have a bit of a mess about with some ink now, as Inktober has started and I’m making a right mess of it. That actually fits quite well with the prompt I’m working on, or what’s going on in my head.

I’ve also got some paintings to frame. And apart from that, I hope it stays a quiet day. First, a glass of water. I wish you a lovely evening. A bit bug-free. In any case, you’ve got plenty of inspiration and imagination, and that’s wonderful. I’m always amazed that you manage to come up with something new. Your mind must be very busy and you must have a very good memory.
