In a social media platform such as Steemit, there are bound to be all sorts of people here for their own reasons. If it is any consolation, what you are voicing happens with all the other plaftforms too.
If I were here for the few cents that I get for my posts, I would have left long ago.
Here's a haiku I wrote. What do you think?
Do what you can do
People will do what they want
Do not be put down
That is you and me and a handful of others since we do not see it as our job and expect a salary.
What if no one talks to you, if you never receive a comment, an upvote and you do not comment yourself: what is left?
Why write and store your posts here?
I think about your haiku.
It is not the official one where seasons and time should be involved, but the message can easily be understood and more will like and understand poetry.
It seems you mainly share the same message. Does it help to take distance or go your way?
Act in your own pace
The cold ones are predators
Down, side of winter

You have to find your niche on here, like you do in life.
I am beginning to sound like a broken record am I? Maybe because I am addressing the same question.
If no one upvote, comment or interact with me. Then I will leave, or I will plod on, or make more effort to interact with people.
Someone told me long ago, to write for myself. So, it doesn't really matter if people like what I wrote or not. I may have a few votes from my 'followers'. I don't know how many read my posts.
I am a simple man, leading a simple life. I enjoy my life. I try to take it easy and not let the mundane stress me.
As for the haiku, I had a feeling that it doesn't meet certain criteria. But it was my first attempt. Maybe I will come up with something better next time.

Don’t worry about it – a broken record sounds completely different and isn’t necessarily annoying.
I think it really is most important that we ourselves are happy with what we post, although that isn’t always the case, because often, of course, we post things that don’t really suit us or the account. As for me, I’d quite like to delete some of my posts, as well as some of my resteems.
It’s not easy to be your true self when you’re under pressure – and we all are, in one way or another.
As for your Haiku, you can of course just develop your own style – that’s what evagavilan did, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Thank you. I appreciate that.
It can be quite disheartening to not get any response for what we post because we needed some encouragement for things we do. It's something that money can't buy. Looking at this platform, I had to tell myself that I will continue to post as part of my routine and also for the people that I know here.

Yes, it is disheartening to not get any response from our posts. I have gotten over that. I don't have expections now. The higher the expectation, the bigger the disappointment. Now, it's a bonus if some curator team come by and give my posts a vote.

Me too. Try to suppress my expectations so that each upvote would be a nice surprise for me
