RE: Survived a Traditional Chinese Wedding! (And way too much Baijiu) 😅

in CCC • 2 days ago

Oh wow! The wedding (or the restaurant setting) looks really grand and it is the first time for me to see the inflatable arc! How many glasses of baijiu did you drink 🤭? I have had my share of Chinese weddings but I drink just Chinese tea or orange juice or Coke haha. But for the more well to do families, they would serve wine too. Nowadays I prefer my quiet time. Preferably no more weddings to attend. Glad you survived the wedding and can now continue your typing on your keyboard. Happy typing and coding hehe.

Haha, thanks my friend! That big red inflatable arch is an absolute classic for traditional/rural Chinese weddings—the louder and redder, the better! 🤣

As for the Baijiu... man, I honestly lost count after the third glass. My head is still buzzing a little bit lol. You are the smart one for sticking to tea and Coke!

I totally agree with you on the quiet time. The older I get, the more I just want to stay away from those noisy banquets. Sitting in a quiet room, typing on my keyboard, writing code, and plotting my next thriller novel is way more comfortable.

Thanks for dropping by! Back to the coding and writing grind! 💻☕️

She is also no "bro" your translation is terrible and painful, dont do this or safe this way if talking to remlamps

Oh my god 😭! I want to find a hole in the ground to hide now!

My translation app is so stupid, it just translate my Chinese internet slang into "bro" for everyone. In China we sometimes say "xiong di" (brothers) to both boys and girls to show very close friendship, but I see now it is totally wrong in English! I am so embarrass! 😅

I will throw this stupid translation app into the trash can right now lol. Please forgive my painful English sister! I promise I will never use "bro" to you ladies ever again.

Thank you for teaching me and correcting me. I am learning new English from you everyday! 🙏 Have a good day!

Did you find that hole yet 😐
I don't believe we will dig you up, perhaps before the new year start...

Do you also use 'xiong di' in your daily vocabulaire? To me that means brother, not friends or people (not that each language has its stupid expressions, after all it is a men's world strangely enough).

You do not learn English if you search for bugs? How about gaming? lsona good method to learn English, or WeChat.

A happy day to you.
