Stinky
Mother entered Ray's room and looked at the mess.
She moved around the room, collecting clothes for the laundry: a T-shirt from the floor, a pair of jeans from the chair, and a pair of stinky socks from the edge of his bed.
She sat down on the chair, taking it all in, wondering if she was doing the right things with Ray. Ever since Kyle left, she had tried many ways to stay close to him, but she felt that Ray kept pushing her away. Maybe it was because she wasn't a man.
Now that Albert was in their lives, she hoped Ray would feel better and eventually open up to him as a father figure. She also realised that Ray had not let go.
Last night, when Ray had the nightmare, she had been worried. She had never seen him drenched in sweat during his sleep before.
Her eyes wandered to the computer table, where Kyle's wooden box sat.
She wondered when Ray had brought the box into his room, and why.

But...how old is Ray? She surely didn't do a good job. She should have thought him from a young age to take his dirty clothes immediately to the washing machine.
Does he need a father figure it is he just a stinky teenager?
What's in the box?
Ray is 10. This story started from The Vortex haha. Yah, she should have. I think she spoiled him.
The box has the relic (old coin) that his dad found during their last camping trip which Ray remembered where he found a silverfish and wanted to smack it.
