Ogre and Panic
The ogre swept through the field, whacking stones and boulders aside and flattening trees in its path as though they were just pebbles and branches. It stomped its way forward with the loudest thump and thud. Some trees were uprooted while boulders overturned. Little creatures around scrambled to run away.
Ray panicked. He knew he had to run from his hiding spot behind one of the bigger boulders, but his legs refused to move.
There wasn't much time left, yet he just couldn't move.
The ogre was getting closer. Soon it would spot Ray hiding behind the boulder. Ray knew what ogres did to humans. He had heard the stories and seen it with his own eyes. People were torn apart by its bare hands as if they were pieces of chicken.
Finally, Ray felt his legs move.
But just as he was about to dash away, he felt something grab him from behind.
"AarrrgghhhhhHHHHHHHHHH!" Ray screamed.
"Ray! Ray! Ray! Wake up, boy!"
He felt his body being shaken and heard a familiar voice calling out to him.
