RE: My Dusty Upvotes
If you do not upvoted at all and your CSI is low that will be seen as anti Steemit, unloyal. No matter what, they like to see you being active. A solution also is to upvote a different post of that users close to the payout, like said day 6.
Not too long ago CSI was also part of giving upvotes by curators and at challenges and for those applying for curator it still is a big deal to proof you vote for (support) many different accounts. If you always vote for the same the CSI will not go up. If your CSI is extremely high this means you give very low votes like 5% if nothing just to make your CSI look good!
Ohh.. day 6 upvotes are good for the author? I didn't know that. And what is CSI? I usually upvote posts or comments that already has 0.02 value. Else my voting power decreases with lower voting value to the author. I think that is how it works haha. Still a lot to learn about the mechanics here. Another thing, if the post has already passed the 7 days payout, if we upvote the comment of someone which is less than 7 days, does the commenter get a payout after 7 days of his/her comment?
