RE: Shelter

I seem to be surrounded by those people. Thankfully no one calls me any longer. As long as I stay home I safe and time for me.
As soon as I set a foot outside it starts... Unless, I wear my "do not get close" face.
🤣

This BOOMING vote is yours and well deserved!

I think I was born with that face haha.

I think being at home is the best way to truly feel comfortable these days, because good manners have been lost, and some people do all sorts of things!

Thank you so much for your support! Have a wonderful weekend!

I agree. It is no longer fun being outside. At least at home one can stay in the own, created, bubble.

If it comes to the face...I know exactly which one to wear to avoid people speaking to me or threaten me.
😉

A super weekend to you, I will work tomorrow and Monday...hopefully no customers.

Yes, I totally agree. By the way, I hope that if there are any customers, they're all friendly and fun!

I am already happy if there are no shoplifters among them!

Yes, that would be much better! There are people here who pretend to be customers and steal everything they can.

With you too? I can see it in their behaviour... thankfully today I had one customer only. It is good to work Sundays and Mondays if most shops are closed.

Luckily not in our business, because we basically serve from a window. There might not be any way for the public to access it because it's a pretty small space lol.

However, we have been robbed twice, once when we weren't home, and another time when my parents left a back door unlocked.

But in this country as a whole, stealing from businesses by pretending to be customers is almost a professional practice. Unfortunately, for some people, that's a "job."

By the way, didn't you resign and give early retirement? Or is this your notice period with the company?

Oh yes. I’ve already given up quite a lot. I no longer work at the charity shop, I’ve stepped down from the board, and I’ve stopped working. I’ve stopped taking painting lessons, left the painting group, and I have a few fewer ‘friends’. The only thing I’m still doing is helping out at the shop whenever I want to, can, or feel like it. But that will come to an end soon too.
Firstly, I’m leaving, and secondly, the shop is moving too to a village about 1.5 hours travelling from me. It is about time.
