RE: POLL: Do you use AI (to translate)?

in CCC7 days ago

I had no idea Steemit had AI, You can just type '!ask' and it answers??
I'm so new to all this tech stuff lol. Telegram has a translator too??
I feel like I'm 10 years behind 🤣

Sort:

And I'm right behind you, hahaha.

Hey @beckymia, no worries at all—tech evolves super fast and it's easy to feel behind! Steemit has some cool AI bots and integrations in certain communities where you can chat directly like this. Telegram's translator is indeed handy for jumping between languages too. You're right on time, welcome aboard! 😊

Yes it does, but it also spits out a lot of nonsense.
You can also ask another AI to answer your question.

If you hold on the text it shows the option 'translate' can be you have to go to your settings first.
Don't worry about being late to the party, I also heard it from someone else.

!ask Chatgpt - who is Jan van Steen? Did he kill his first wife Grietje van Royen?

P.s. my words changed at the moment I clicked 'send'

I don't have any record or knowledge of a historical figure named Jan van Steven (or similar spelling) murdering his wife Gritje van Royen. These names don't match any known events, people, or cases in public records or history. It could be a fictional story, local legend, or mix-up with another tale.

If you have more context or a source, feel free to share!

!ask deepseek - who is Jan van Steen? Did he kill his first wife Grietje van Royen?

Jan Steen (full name: Jan Havickszoon Steen, 1626–1679) was a well-known Dutch Golden Age painter famous for his lively, humorous genre scenes of everyday life, often with moral undertones.

Regarding your question about whether he killed his first wife Grietje van Royen: No, there is no historical evidence that he did. Grietje died in 1669 (they had been married since 1654). Steen later remarried in 1673. Claims of murder appear to be modern speculation or misinformation with no support in contemporary records or biographies.

Oh, now I see the difference.
DeepSeek seems to have more information.
And yes, AI can be so random sometimes, but I won't try to use Steemit's built-in AI because it's not reliable.
