Cooking Contest: The Story of Taste, Made with Your Own Hands.

in SteemOne Community ♨4 days ago

Assalamu Alaikum, everyone. I hope you are all doing very well; I am doing fine, Alhamdulillah. Today, I am here with a wonderful recipe. I would like to extend a huge thank you to @mdshanto for organizing such a fantastic cooking contest. Today, I will share my thoughts and various cooking techniques with you all; I hope you enjoy it.

Cooking is something I truly enjoy; you could even call it a hobby of mine. I particularly love experimenting with new and special dishes. There is a unique sense of satisfaction in presenting dishes that my family loves in a creative and appealing way. I often prepare recipes that are favorites among my family members and occasionally share them here. In the past, I used to share a wide variety of recipes—whenever I tried something new, I would post it. If you scroll back through my blog, you will certainly find posts featuring many of these recipes.

Anyway, I prepared this specific recipe primarily to participate in today's cooking contest. In fact, dishes like this are frequently made in my home—especially those featuring meat—because my son and husband love them so much. They are particularly fond of Korma-style dishes due to their slightly sweet flavor profile. Today, I prepared a Chicken Korma recipe, and I am sharing a method that makes it incredibly easy to cook. While there are many ways to prepare Korma, this particular method allows you to make it with minimal effort and just a few simple steps.

Step 1

In the first step, I placed the fried onions beresta into the small jar of the blender. Then, I added the soaked cashews, almonds, and raisins. After that, I added a few pieces of mace.

Step 2

Next, I added the right amount of plain yogurt, along with black pepper and sugar. I blended everything together according to the measurements to create a mixture.

Step 3

I placed the washed chicken into a bowl and added all the blended spices to it. Then, I added turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and chili powder.

Step Four

At this stage, I added the salt, ginger paste, and garlic paste all at once. Then, I mixed everything thoroughly by hand and left it to marinate for about an hour.

Step Five

At this stage, I placed a pan on the stove and added the required amount of oil. Once the oil was hot, I added the chopped onions along with the whole spices—specifically black cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves, and cloves—and sautéed them well for a while. Next, I added the marinated chicken and fried it thoroughly for a good amount of time.

Step Six

At this stage, I covered the pot and cooked it over low heat for about ten minutes to allow the meat to release its juices. I continued cooking it like this for a while longer. Then, I added some hot water. After that, I added a few whole green chilies and some tomato sauce, mixed everything well, covered the pot, and cooked it for another 15 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.

Once the gravy thickened, I turned off the heat and sprinkled the sugar-mixed fried onions beresta over the top. Afterward, I garnished the dish. Cooking korma typically requires a wide variety of spices; however, if you have these spices at home, mixing them all together to marinate the meat beforehand significantly reduces the effort involved, as it eliminates the hassle of sautéing the spices separately. This approach makes the cooking process much easier. I hope you enjoy today's recipe.
