I wasn't planning on planting onions, but for some reason I suddenly ordered some seeds. It's getting late in the season. I'll have to plant them now.)
And I have been planting onions in winter for many years, they grow more resistant to rot, and the bulb appears much earlier.
That's good to know and worth the try!
