Another Post on Location in Hello Nurse!
Myrtle Beach South Carolina Represents Everything I Loathe About American Culture. Literally Everything
It's been over 3 weeks at my family emergency on location anti-vacation. Happy to say my patient is improving. I keep a very strict regimen of diet, exercise and rest that I had to research myself because the United States medical industrial complex does not understand nutrition and health. And forget about geriatric well being. I want to thank AI for the one thing that it's life-changing good for, and that's medical counseling. Meanwhile, I continue to make three pastels a day while I am not able to paint toward my 20,000 paintings goal. I purchased some fixative and a storage box for the lot to travel home with me.
I'm starting to feel real strange round here. It's a 55 and older residential community that is mostly 75 and older, and everyone's hobbling around, many with walkers trying to push back the inevitabilty of assisted living that is three times the cost. I always feel like I'm breaking the law while walking in the common areas. I went to the pool only once fearing that someone would call me out because my patient wasn't there. Guests are required to have a resident present when using the facilities.
A shout out to @jompiy who has kept me in his wildly creative loop for the past several weeks. I am amazed at his output, and not a little bit envious. We can't all be geniuses!
Pastels are filling the void, for now. I look forward to painting again.
All works 2026. Oil pastel on paper, 9 x 12"

Pastels Are Not My Forte

Thank you. The first week's three a day were made in Intensive care. Now I try to get them finihed before breakfast, because then all day nursing care commences:)
Art is a force for good, no doubt about it.
Yes, that is a continous line colored in.
Talk about determination, it took me 10 times as long to do my last two posts because all I have is my phone with me and big, clumsy fingers. A kind of blogging torture:)
I love the pastels. You could join INKtober prompts too.
This BOOMING vote is yours and well deserved!

Thank you!
I'll be back soon to blog properly!
Glad to hear your patients improving. Pastels Are Not My Forte is a brilliant drawing. We're both churning out small oil pastels these days.

Me too. And thank you. When I get back,
I think I might up my three a day to large canvas paintings like you're doing.
