03 MINIATURE SODA CAP CHAIR

1000923017.jpg

Hello everyone! I was thrilled to learn about this month's pen contest. For this entry, I’ll be drawing a miniature chair made from a soda bottle cap. Here, I am using a blue 0.5mm pen and a sheet of A6 paper (105 x 148 mm).

  • In the initial stage, I started sketching a chair using bottle caps for the seat, soda can tabs for the backrest, and bamboo skewers for the legs.

  • Next, I created light shading by tilting the pen as much as possible to achieve a delicate effect for the shadows on the chair and the floor.

And here is the final result.

It didn't take long—just a few minutes.

Wow, this is really a very smart idea. I had a hard time to think out something with 'miniature'. Finally finished I forgot to post 🤣

Very creative!

Thank you for your support.

If anyone has ever tried to create a chair out of a bottle cap, you’ve succeeded better than anyone else! :)

That is what is known as a miniature—a small-scale object—and I wondered how to draw it so that people would immediately perceive the subject as something tiny. So, I created a chair out of a bottle cap; if I had simply drawn it in the usual way, there would have been no difference.

Thanks for explaining the essence of the vignette! :)

You're welcome, and thank you for the support.

Do not mention it :)

Nice smiley... did you draw it yourself? :)

Yes, of course, I was the one who drew it.
