Hello to all the Steemians who love plants, agriculture, and nature! I’m so happy today to share my first harvest of bell peppers with you—some are red, others are turning color, and many are still green. The plant keeps producing flowers, and I take great care of it every day. Here is a photo gallery showing my first peppers; they are sweet, and I’ll use them in salads, stews, and much more. Of course, I’ll share them with my children at home and give some to my mother—it is so rewarding to eat what you’ve harvested yourself.

To tell you a bit about how I’ve been caring for it: first, I bought a bell pepper and dried the seeds in the sun. While that was happening—which took just a couple of days given the intense sun here—I gathered black soil from the back of my yard, the spot where I burn leaves and dump organic waste like banana peels, eggshells, and fruit and vegetable scraps. I sifted the soil to get it ready for the seedbed and for transplanting once the seedlings were big enough. I water them every day—rain is a real blessing—and, of course, I loosen the soil a bit near the roots.

This is my harvest, which I’m happy to share with you, my fellow Steemians. I’d love to hear what @edgargonzalez, @ikwal, @abdul-rakib, @stef1, and @muzack1 think about this plant, and if you have any suggestions or advice regarding bell peppers and their benefits. My goal is to grow chives, eggplant, or other crops; the climate is a challenge, but not an impossible one. I’m more than motivated now and have everything I need to get started.

These capsicums are the ultimate result of your care and hard work; you have succeeded despite the challenges. You will share these sweet peppers with your family, an act that truly expresses love.

While I do not have specific experience growing capsicums, cultivating any crop requires fertile soil, good seeds, and regular care. Since you have succeeded with peppers, you will likely succeed with onions and eggplants as well—though eggplants will require extra attention, as they are more prone to pest infestations and diseases. Best wishes to you.

Hi there, friend. It’s good to share with family, as that brings us blessings later in life. I’ve put a lot of effort into the plot where I’ve planted them to ensure the results meet my expectations—big, healthy bell peppers. I take great care to protect them from pests like worms, ants, and other animals; that’s why I till the soil every two days, water them twice daily, and even talk to them—telling them what beautiful plants they are. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words, friend.

I love sweet pepper, you have indeed managed to get a good harvest! Couple of years ago I also planted some red pepper in pots just from the seeds and they all come very healthy and juicy green. Some of them we used for fresh salads and they were very tasty :)

Hi friend.

Well, I’ve managed to carve out some time amidst my busy life—juggling my kids, work, my cats, and my plants—and seeing the results makes me so happy to realize we’re doing a good job. It motivates me to plant other things, like chives or eggplants.

Thanks for the support.

Oh thank you! I really appreccite it. 🤗

#s34engagement
