Mars Rover Rich History Explained

I went searching for a good video about Mars rovers and found this one.
The first Rover sent to Mars was sent by the Soviet Union in 1971. The small 8 lb "Prop M" was designed to move on skates and was to be launched from a probe. The probe crashed, and unfortunately Prop M never made it to the surface to perform its mission. It was the first man-made object to end up on Mars.
The most successful rovers on Mars were Curiosity and Perseverance. Curiosity made it to Mars in 2012 and was looking for evidence of the support of life on the red planet. In contrast, Perseverance was looking for life itself in 2021 and collected and preserved samples designed to be retrieved. I was amazed to learn that the small man craft ingenuity which was a probe lasted for 72 flights. These rovers were well-designed and lasted past their expiration dates.
Give the video a watch, I enjoy learning about space technology and how it has evolved over the decades. I sincerely hope that we will be able to retrieve all the samples Perseverance has been collecting since 2021.
