That's really so difficult. They can't even provide the basic requirement for their citizens. It's just so unacceptable. When you mentioned that people had to fight tooth and nail for it, does it mean that the water wasn't even supplied straight to your pipe? I remember we had this issue many years ago though it was only a temporary situation, it was already so difficult. We have to get our pails and all and line up to get water from the truck.
That’s right, @emmabritt. I think that if anyone wants to confirm that we are "animals—often irrational ones"—all it takes is making us fight for a bit of water and a piece of bread.
Where I live, many neighbors have become enemies over the water issue; some never turn off the pump, so the others can't get any.

En donde vivo, muchos vecinos son enemigos por el problema del agua, ya que algunos nunca apagan la bomba y, por tanto, los demás no pueden agarrar un poco.

It's sad because they were being pushed to the edge like that. Everyone is getting frustrated.
