On the Mountain
Deep in the most hidden part of a mountain, a man observes the horizon. He remembers the reason why he walked away from everyone else. He was 45 years old when he made the decision, and he does not regret it at all.
He has been feeling unwell for several days. He thinks, my time to go to God's house has come.
He slowly drinks his coffee. His feet hurt. He lies down on the bed and falls into a deep sleep from which he NEVER woke up again.
"He arrives before the presence of God and bows his head in a sign of respect. His life flashes by like on a TV screen. 'Your sins are few and you have lived for 95 years. You may go through that door straight to your eternal rest. You missed out on much of what the world had to offer, but at the same time, being away allowed you to come directly to rest and watch over whomever you choose from my house,' the Lord replies."

In my country, it is commonly believed that good people die like this, in their sleep, without suffering.
I wish we all had that mountain inside us to take refuge from the world.

I think distancing yourself from certain people works; there are too many ill , intentioned people in this world who don't seem happy to see others succeed.
I try to be selective about my friendships; I don't have many friends, and it's better that way.

I love writing, so I want to stay in your community. I hope the usual scenario doesn't happen again , where someone shows up looking to cause trouble and I end up walking away. I don't know why people like that always seem to appear in my life; later they apologize, but I don't forgive or forget. That isn't going to change , it's just who I am , which is why I always carefully consider what I’m going to say so that I don't have to apologize.
