TCG Card Shop Simulator hit 1.0 today and the card game is actually playable now

The little shop game got its full release today. TCG Card Shop Simulator left early access on September 15, two years after it first showed up in September 2024.

If you have not played it, the idea is simple. You run a card shop. You order boxes, price stuff, open packs, stock shelves, and stand at the register. That is basically the whole game, and somehow I cannot put it down. I have lost whole evenings to sorting cards into binders.

The big one in 1.0 is Tetramon. It is the fake card game you have been selling this whole time, and now it is a real card game you can play. You build a deck out of the cards you pulled and battle with it. There is also a Tournament Mode where you host events for NPCs in your own shop. People have been asking for that for ages, so I am glad it made it in.

It also came out on PS5, Switch and Switch 2 for the first time, on top of Steam and Xbox.

The part I keep coming back to is that this is one person. Ding Shen Sia made it at O.P. Neon Games, a solo studio in Malaysia. Four million players, and about 96% positive out of roughly 50,000 Steam reviews. One developer, making a game about running a shop.

Anyway, I am off to build a Tetramon deck out of all the junk rares I refused to sell.
