Teaching Runs on Relationships We Often Do Not See
Daybook October 10
Teaching is visible at the front of the room, but much of what makes teaching possible happens behind the scenes. Reliable learning environments depend on the coordinated work of educators, instructional technology staff, environmental and facilities teams, administrators, and others whose expertise is often noticed only when something fails. Respectful collaboration should therefore be built before problems arise. Good educational relationships are not about using personal connections for convenience; they are about shared goals, role knowledge, timely communication, and mutual respect.
