Beading: A Childhood Skill That Became My Creative Escape
Hi guys it's good to share with you my craft that I do out of joy at my leisure hours. Most time I use to ask myself what I really know how to do but looking back while growing up, I discovered that there are some potential in children that needs to be spotlight and empower for growth.
I had two things I loved doing while I was a child, I like cooking and craft making. I started learning beading in my grade 4 and it was compulsory in my school to learn craft. Back then in the house, I will tell my mum that I'm available to cook all the food in the house.
This also helps me build up my cooking skills gradually till now.
Let's talk about beading today.
Beading is one of those craft that helps you build your creativity level while you are free in mixing different colours to create a beautiful masterpiece.
It requires patience, concentration and imagination to be able to create a beautiful masterpiece.
For me, beading is one of those things that helps me relax and stay calm when I'm being emotionally destabilized. When I'm making a needed work, it helps me to stay focused, avoid thinking and be more focused so as to create something beautiful. Therefore, it also helps me stay calm, reset my feelings and stay positive.
Let me show you how I created this beautiful needed bag for my daughter.
I used two different types of bead, the rise plastic bead and ball plastic bead, scissors and twine.
First I started with the ball bead, I added 3 to the twine the used 1 to cross the twine making it 4 need for a start and it forms this shape.
Next I added 2 rise bead each on the both side of the twine and form another star shape on each side then crossed it with a ball bead to bring it together.
I repeated the same process while in cooperating different colours to add beauty to the bag.

I repeated the same thing in both sides and I was able to complete the length and size I wanted then I proceeded to join them together and also created the bag hand.
Finally, it was done and this bag needed inner to insert as it had big holes, so I sew a lining for the bag.

So bead making is very easy, you just need to be creative, choose your design, choose you colour then sit down and create something beautiful.
So each time I see beads scattered around what usually come to my mind is creativity, making something out of it and by the time this bead is being brought together it's turned out the way you just see. I have other beautiful designs of bead making bags that I've made for myself and my baby don't worry I'll be showing you guys these steps.
