Achievement 3 by @prexioz — Task: Content Etiquette

What is Plagiarism?

        INTRODUCTION:

Plagiarism is the act of using another person's words, ideas, work, or creative content and presenting it as your own without giving proper credit to the original creator. It is an important issue, especially in education and online communities, because it takes away recognition from the person who originally created the work.

Plagiarism can happen in different ways. One common example is copying an article from a website and publishing it under your own name without mentioning where the information came from. It can also happen when someone copies another person's ideas, photographs, videos, designs, or other creative works without proper acknowledgement.

Another important point is that plagiarism does not only mean copying something word for word. If we take another person's idea and rewrite it in our own words, we may still need to acknowledge the original source. Giving credit helps readers know where the information came from and also shows respect for the original creator.

As a Steemit user, I believe that creating original content and giving proper credit are very important. When I use information or an image from another source, I should mention the source clearly. This helps to build trust and maintain good content etiquette within the Steemit community.

Avoiding plagiarism also encourages creativity. Instead of simply copying what another person has created, we can learn from different sources and then express our own thoughts and experiences in our own words.

          How to Avoid Plagiarism
  1. Create your own original content.

  2. Give credit to the original author or creator.

  3. Use quotation marks when using someone's exact words.

  4. Add links or citations to sources used.

  5. Check that images and other materials are allowed to be reused.

  6. Do not present another person's work as your own.

         Conclusion:

In conclusion, plagiarism is using another person's work or ideas without proper acknowledgement. It is important for every content creator to understand plagiarism and practise honesty when creating and sharing content. I will do my best to create original posts, respect other people's work, and give proper credit whenever I use information or materials from other sources.

I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace .
