Powering up on Steemit is a great way to build account power, boost voting power, and give back to the community. Here's my detailed process of powering up 27 STEEM today.

Step 1: How Much Do I Have? (Before Pic)

Prior to submitting my transaction, I checked my Steemit wallet to see what tokens I currently held. My wallet indicated I started with an available, liquid balance of 27.557 STEEM, as well as 0.003 SBD, and unclaimed rewards.

Stage 2: Inputting the Power-up Sum

Then, I pressed the green Power Up button just below my liquid STEEM balance. A prompt window popped up to enter transaction details. Out of my current liquid STEEM balance of 27.557 STEEM, I entered only 27 STEEM to be powered up into Steem Power.

Step 3: Confirming and Authenticating the Transaction

Having entered the amount, I then pressed Continue, which opened the last confirmation window. It explained the transaction: convert 27.000 STEEM into Steem Power for my account, @entity01. I entered my Active Key and pressed the green button to safely complete this operation: Confirm power up.

Step 4: After Power-Up Balance

After I made the transaction on the blockchain, my liquid balance was updated immediately, showing I had received back all my liquid amount minus the Steem Power I purchased, which is now 0.557 STEEM.
