Today my participation in the next contest and I hope I will be able to make you interested in my continuation of the story.

I was at a restaurant enjoying dinner with my mom; everything was normal. When we finished eating, we called for the waiter, but no one came. When we looked around, the place was completely empty.

...I was surprised to see that the whole noisy and crowded area became absolutely abandoned in one moment. While I was turning my head back so that I could see everything around I then started telling my mother: “it is funny that…” In this moment I could not finish my sentence and just completely frozen and my jaw dropped, because it is not only the restaurant was empty but also my mother is also disappeared. The plate with her food was still there and it was like my mother just left a second ago, because in the first moment I was not really sure if it was a reality if we were together or not.

• ...”It is again the same reaction like with previous test persons” said one alien to another, there were two aliens in a room and they were watching through the window the scene of a daughter and her mother.

It is not 21st century on Earth and also it is not Earth at all, since the time that was played in that experimental room many centuries gone and due to climate catastrophe humanity extinct completely. The aliens found this planet and the reminder of the species on this planet, they have found a DNA of a human being and grown up a girl, they wanted to see how she will be therefore, they created an artificial environment of “new Earth” for this girl in order to study what kind of species it is.

Today it was a next step to see what happens if the people in restaurant disappear and how that will impact the mental state of the girl. The experiment is in progress...

...Me sorprendió ver cómo toda aquella zona, ruidosa y abarrotada, quedaba completamente desierta en un instante. Mientras giraba la cabeza para observar los alrededores, empecé a decirle a mi madre: «Es curioso que...». En ese momento no pude terminar la frase; me quedé paralizada y con la boca abierta, pues no solo el restaurante estaba vacío, sino que mi madre también había desaparecido. El plato con su comida seguía allí, como si ella se hubiera marchado apenas un segundo antes; por un instante, ni siquiera estaba segura de si aquello era real o si realmente habíamos estado allí juntas.

..."Es la misma reacción que tuvieron los sujetos de prueba anteriores" comentó un alienígena a otro. Ambos se encontraban en una sala, observando a través de una ventana la escena de la hija y su madre.

No nos encontramos en la Tierra del siglo XXI, ni siquiera en la Tierra en absoluto; han pasado muchos siglos desde la época recreada en aquella sala experimental y la humanidad se extinguió por completo debido a una catástrofe climática. Los alienígenas descubrieron el planeta y los vestigios de la especie que lo habitó; tras hallar ADN humano, lograron desarrollar a una niña. Querían ver cómo se comportaría, así que crearon un entorno artificial —una «nueva Tierra»— para ella, con el fin de estudiar qué clase de especie era aquella.

Hoy tocaba dar el siguiente paso: observar qué sucedía si las personas del restaurante desaparecían y cómo ello afectaría al estado mental de la niña. El experimento sigue en curso...
