Basic Knowledge in Agriculture 99: Genetic Modification

Hello my dear Steemians,
Genetic modification is slowly becoming normal in agriculture. Often the DNA of the plant will be exchanged against the stronger and more resistant that will be grown in lab and later on plant on fields. That means that the plants that are used as our food and grown on fields on big area of field. Being there under sun, wind and rain but also insects and birds there are many conditions that could affect the harvest results. That is the reason why the scientist trying working on the improvement on the quality and character of such plants.
What area of improvement:
there is DNA of a plant is changed in order to make them resistant to dry weather and less water,t hat is becoming more and more problem, to hot summer and little amount of water
the modification also improves the resistant against chemicals of pesticides
gene modification that help to survive the weed
some of the improvement will promote the nutritions in the plants
Understandably there always will be a bad side of any intervention that we bring into nature:
there is often modified plants will taken over the natural plants and they take over the areas and fields, that is leaving impact of balances biosphere of our nature
using the pesticides, the modified plants might be resistant but it is noticeable that the insects are also becoming resistant to the chemicals and it is becoming more difficult to fight the diseases and insects that destroying plants and crops
at present it is not clear how much harm all these genetic modification caused in human health therefore, we do not know what are loing term results. That is a reason why in some countries those gene modifications are still under strong control or at present banned.
It should be strict regulation in the area of gene modification with regular control of the results and update of the rules happening for the benefits of human helath.
