Hello my dear Steemians,

Poultry production is another branch in agriculture that is very well developed because in compare to the bigger animals like cows and sheep you do not need to have big space. The only it is important to have well protected house for the birds, because under open air there could be natural enemies like bird of prey or even for small chicks cats could be also a danger. When people live close to forest there could be foxes who also love birds but they should be protected with good and strong fence.

When we talk about poultry production that could include following:

  • holding, growing and selling the birds
  • good working poultry farm will have eggs and also they sell either to local markets or to the supermarket if the volume of eggs are bigger
  • the bids also could be used for meat, it is one of the popular meat that is easy to cook, for cooking it does nto take long time and also can be cooked using different spices. There are recipes of preparing soups using chicken
  • such poultry farms will have feathers and that will be collected, cleaned and then used for clothes, like down jacket. Also feathers could be used for pillows.

In order to have healthy birds on their farms, it is important regular inspection of veterinary health, so that the birds do not have any infection and also do not spread infection to children of adults.

The regular inspection of the area where the birds live, to check if there are any bird that look unhealthy and if it is a case then to let Vet Doctor to visit the farm, check and try to identify what is the problem. When there a predictable infection then it is important to follow the instruction of the controlling organisation.
